Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to work within the Tissue Viability Service in Bedfordshire. This post holder will be responsible for the safe and effective care in the on-going assessment, Doppler and hosiery/compression care for community patients with venous disease. They will also be responsible for holistic assessments in non-healing wounds formulating care plans in collaboration with the Wound Care or Tissue Viability Nurse.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will also support the delivery of student/nurse education within the leg ulcer clinics and in the community
The post is based at Grove View Health Hub, Dunstable, Part Time: 0.5 WTE (18.75 hours). You will need to be a first level registered nurse with an interest in Tissue Viability.

- oRegistered nurse

- oEducated to Degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience

- Ability to work without supervision. Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising workloads to changing and often tight deadlines
- Skills for communication with patients and TV service team members, inside and outside the organisation requiring interpersonal and oral / written communication skills

- Good standard of literacy - able to write clear reports
- Access to a car to be able to drive across the county as required
