The Governors of Our Lady & St. Gerard's Catholic Primary School would like to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who shares this vision and is committed to upholding our high standards. This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.   • Recognised and relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
  • Ability to operate at a level of understanding and competence equivalent to NVQ Level 4 standard
  • NVQ level 4 qualification or equivalent
  • HLTA Status
  • First aid/Paediatric First Aid Certificate
  • Experience of working with children, including those with EHCPs and a range of SEND, in a Primary setting
  • Experience of working in a primary classroom environment and following the EYFS/National Curriculum
  • Providing class cover/PPA
  • Planning lessons/sequences of lessons
  • Use of a range of assessment methods to help children to progress
  • Providing medical/care to those with SEND needs
  • Experience in working within a support base/provision room to meet the needs of pupils
  • Experience in using personalised curriculum targets to set provision
  • Lunchtime Welfare/play and supervision
