ABOUT THE ROLE As an Operational Trainer with Barchester, you'll make sure the people working in our care homes and independent mental health hospitals have the training they need to provide the best in person-centred care for our residents and patients. This is a home-based role that will see you travelling to different care homes and hospitals across a specific region to ensure that we always meet our high training standards. As an organisation, we put a huge emphasis on training and development, and you'll be pivotal in ensuring our provision always is second to none. Your specific responsibilities will span training delivery, staff inductions and development, which makes this a very varied role. You can expect to be involved with everything, from planning training calendars, championing e-learning and supporting employees through their induction, to attending conferences, optimising apprenticeship opportunities and analysing our ongoing training needs. This is a demanding but incredibly rewarding role that will see you delivering exceptional training and, in turn, having a lasting impact on the lives of our teams, our residents and our patients. ABOUT YOU You should have a minimum of a C&G 7300 (or equivalent), a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or experience of working in the care sector) and a good working knowledge of legislative requirements within the care industry. We'll also want to see some experience of training, coaching and mentoring others, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. With a flexible approach and a full, clean driving licence, you'll be comfortable working out in the field at our homes and hospitals (staying overnight if necessary) and undertaking shift patterns that include some evenings, weekends and early mornings we want to give everyone the best possible access to our training. Strong organisational skills and plenty of initiative are also essential.
