About this event
We’ve all been there: started the new year with a long list of well-intended resolutions then ditched them days later because they were too ambitious – or just too boring! And that’s great – we all want to strive to enjoy our best lives.
But sometimes those aspirations are a little unkind or unrealistic. We’re talking faddy diets that claim to drop dress sizes, military-style workouts that challenge the biggest gym bunny, and expensive skincare regimes that promise to make us look 10 years younger.
But this time of year really is an amazing opportunity to make meaningful changes that improve our overall well-being – vital when we’re going through menopause.
The secret is to take a realistic, sustainable approach.
So, grab your diary and make a date for this brilliant free session – brought to you by Rest Less Presents and My Menopause Centre – where our expert panel will be discussing exactly how to do this and more:
- Dr Clare Spencer, My Menopause Centre Co-Founder and Registered Menopause Specialist & GP
- Mel Berry, Her Spirit Co-Founder
- Karen Newby, author of The Natural Menopause Method: a nutritional guide to perimenopause and beyond
- Chaired by My Menopause Centre Co-Founder Helen Normoyle
We talk about:
- How menopause impacts our wellbeing
- The critical role lifestyle plays, especially exercise and nutrition
- How regular strength training, including weightlifting, can help overall fitness, burn fat, increase bone density and help with mental health – all vital in the menopause
- What healthy eating looks like and why faddy diets are a waste of time
- The role that HRT plays in preventing osteoporosis and fractures
- How to deal with the things that stop us from exercising and eating well
- And the answer to that million-dollar question: how to stay motivated
