With menopause being such a normal, important, yet widely misunderstood topic, we are pleased to be able to share with you the video of our latest menopause event.
There are roughly 15.5 million women in the UK who are in some state of the menopause transition and, with life expectancy increasing, this means that almost 40% of the average woman’s life is spent post-menopause.
Yet the silence, lack of awareness, and understanding around the menopause has a personal, social, and economic impact, and this needs to change.
In this informative session, Clare and Helen, the co-founders of My Menopause Centre, explain how and why it’s important to get people talking about menopause so that attitudes can start to be reframed. Clare, who is a GP and menopause specialist, also explores the mental and physical symptoms of menopause in more detail, and answers questions on a range of different topics, including HRT.
Clare and Helen hope to show women that it’s never too late to start preparing for menopause or managing symptoms, and that by doing so, it’s possible to thrive rather than survive – at home, at work, and in relationships.
About My Menopause Centre
Rest Less has partnered with My Menopause Centre, which was founded by two women in their 50s; Dr Clare Spencer and Helen Normoyle. Through their website and online menopause clinic, Clare and Helen empower women with evidence-based information and advice.
The service is available across the UK, and women will be met with kindness, support, and professional care.
