Cycling Instructor (Part time)

Job Description
We're recruiting new cycling instructors to work approximately 30 weeks a year delivering Bikeability Cycle training (Cycling Proficiency) across Bucks, Slough, Windsor, Maidenhead and South Oxfordshire.
NB: This is NOT a "holiday job" for students.
Bikeability instructors enjoy short working hours (6 hours a day), time outdoors and the chance to inspire young riders. All you need is a positive attitude, a passion for working with children - and the ability to ride a bike!. We will arrange training for you (1st4sport Level 2 Award in Instructing Cycle Training) which will qualify you as a co-instructor, you will then be able to work with a fully qualified instructor to gain the experience and confidence you will need to take your final assessment to become a fully qualified lead instructor
The working day is typically 08:30 to 15:00 with a mid-morning break and lunch time fitted around the school break times. Typically Instructors work 3-4 consecutive days a week. We tend to work term time only (30 weeks a year) with some opportunities for holiday work if you want it, this is usually in the spring and summer holidays. We aim to allocate work close to our instructors' homes. Although some like to travel further as part of their fitness regimes!
Our current team are nearly all early retirees and comprise ex-surveyors, a banker, an IT Systems engineers, teachers, HR professionals, a Music Producer, housewives, Policemen and a youngster: a student pilot!.
Applicants should be:
- Comfortable riding on the road.
- Happy to work outside in all weather.
- Enjoy working with children.
NB: Instructors work on a self employed basis.
