Job Description
About The Role
- Supporting service users with high-quality, person-centred casework in Derby and Nottingham.
- Overseeing and supporting volunteers, including their training and development for effective service delivery.
- Facilitating service user feedback and involvement in service development.
- Building strong relationships with external partners and managing associated risks and safeguarding concerns.
- Maintaining accurate records in line with data protection standards.
- Implementing monitoring and evaluation procedures.
- To understand issues affecting asylum seekers, refugees, and other vulnerable migrants.
- Knowledge of the rights and entitlements for reunited refugees and their families, and the ability to advise on asylum and immigration policies.
- Experience working with other agencies and handling casework for vulnerable clients.
- Great organisational and time management skills to plan, manage, and prioritise workloads, including helping volunteers.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to talk effectively with people whose first language isn't English.
- To be comfortable using IT, especially Microsoft Office.
