About The Role
Corporate Partnerships Business Development Executive
Location: Hybrid - London, Moorgate (Home and Office)
Salary: £29,430 to £32,307 per annum (plus inner London Weighting, if applicable)
Hours: 35 per week
Contract Type: Permanent
The Corporate Partnerships (CP) team at the British Red Cross generates millions of pounds each year to support the charity's work in the UK and around the world .
We're looking for a dynamic and ambitious fundraising executive with experience in fundraising, sales or marketing to join the Business Development part of the team growing our income so we can support more people in crisis.
The Business Development (BD) sub-team focuses on identifying, securing and developing strategic partnerships with businesses.
These partnerships enable us to raise funds for people in crisis, fully draw on the skills, resources and capabilities of businesses and enable our corporate partners to achieve their strategic goals.
Could you help our team develop 6-7 figure corporate partnerships drawing on your strong skills in research, analytical thinking, communications, negotiation, creative thinking and project planning?
And could you leap into action when disasters strike to secure urgent funds for our emergency appeals?

What will a Corporate Partnerships Business Development Executive's job involve?
- Apply your research skills to identify and review new partnership opportunities.
- Utilise your copywriting and design skills to develop fundraising materials including proposals, funding applications, presentations and concept notes..
- Represent the British Red Cross at new business meetings discussing our work confidently and engagingly and using active listening and negotiating skills to explore connections between our organisations.
- Unlock non-financial support for the British Red Cross such as gift in kind and commercial expertise.
- Select and tailor communications and events opportunities to bring prospects and supporters closer to our work.
- Proactively develop relationships with colleagues across the charity to build knowledge of our work and opportunities for prospects and supporters.
- Support the team with general administration from updating contact databases to supporting with invoices.
- Maximise opportunities for additional income and support from existing contacts during emergency appeals.
What will a Corporate Partnerships Business Development Executive need to be successful?
- Understanding of corporate social responsibility and interest in working on charity/corporate partnerships.
- Well Developed Microsoft 365 skills.
- Proven experience of working for a charity in a fundraising role or for a company/agency in a marketing, sponsorship or sales environment.
- Experience of forming strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of relationship development and management.
- Experience of planning large or complex activities with senior people and across multiple stakeholders.
- Experience of meeting financial targets.
