Air Command - Logistics - Senior Store Keeper

The role of the Mechanical Training Squadron, Stores and Warehouse operator is to provide a focal point for students and staff, to give guidance and advice regarding the storage, packing, accounting, and handling of training equipment. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a robust tool control process within the Squadron tool store, and the management of consumables. Your role will include the demanding and replenishment of stocks of Consumable (C) items, and carrying out daily checks of all C store cabinets/carousels, including Fuels and Lubricants; maintaining stock and location record cards via a database and ensuring the Mechanical Training Flight (MTF) stores areas in a clean tidy and safe condition; responsibility for all RAF F7019 transactions that are submitted through MTF stores process; informing the Training Syndicate Co-ordinator (TSC) of any delays or problems encountered during the supply process. You will be responsible for local level control and coordination of the stores assets on MJDI, complying to Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) Policy; accounting for equipment on specified accounts, including items signed out for training, loans, and repairs; ensuring all newly delivered equipment is processed appropriately and according to Station logistics guidelines.You will be responsible for carrying out miscellaneous tasks as directed by your line manager; assisting in the maintaining of a safe working environment and be conversant with standing orders along with other specified guidelines; maintaining a thorough knowledge of all equipment held and act as a focal point for the maintenance management of support equipment; ensuring equipment is accounted for and serviceable to effectively support training operations. You may occasionally be required to work outside of your normal daily routine in support of the Site manager.
