Job Description
No2 School of Technical Training; a part of the Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering (DSAE) located at RAF Cosford provides initial trade training to new recruits as well as advanced career training to existing RAF aeronautical engineers. It also delivers the same aeronautical engineering training to international students under government contract where RAF Cosford has achieved an extremely high success rate leading to increased demand for our perfection in training delivery. RAF Cosford remains a site of growth and expansion with numerous projects and partnership developments being explored and undertaken.The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator with the ability to effectively describe complex systems and equipment to different audiences with multiple learning styles. The working environment is a mixture of Classroom and Practical based training delivery, which takes place within the delivery areas, using classrooms, workshops. This is re-enforced with ground training aids such as Tornado aircraft and modern weapons systems, utilising advanced learning methods to prepare the highest calibre of Military student possible for a future military career in the RAF.Please be aware successful candidates for the SIO positions are required obtain Disclosure & Barring Service (formally Criminal Records Bureau) clearance
