Food+ by Compass, part of Restaurant Associates (part of Compass Group UK&I) are looking for a passionate Senior Chef De Partie for one of its high profiles contract, a tech company based near Kings Cross Station - London
You will work with both the Head/Sous Chef and GM to assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the highest standards in a clean, tidy, safe and pleasant environment. To also assist in the smooth running of the kitchen with direction from more senior members of the kitchen team making sure you provide outstanding food experiences. You will need to support your kitchen to make sure it is fully compliant with Compass process, healthy and safety and food hygiene regulations and run in line with Compass@Client expectations.

Schedule:
8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
The great things you will be expected to do:
- To prepare and cook sufficient food to provide the agreed amount of customer choice with minimum waste
- To ensure knowledge about the food being prepared and cooked so can advise customers. To participate in daily menu briefs to all catering assistants.
- Always provide an excellent service at all times
- Ensure the effective control of a specific station within the kitchen
- To carry out the directions of more senior members of the kitchen brigade, ensuring that you coordinate the efforts of more junior members.
- Ensure food is prepared to required standards checking for taste, presentation and quality
- Ensure the kitchen and service areas are clean, tidy and attractive during service
- To make sure that you meet all legal and company requirements for fire, health, safety and hygiene
- Do Not interfere with or misuse anything provided for HSE purposes
- Ensure all food preparation is carried out in accordance with food hygiene procedures
- Engage in fresh thinking and initiative with the team
Key skills required
- Minimum of 3 years as Chef de Partie
- Demonstrates Compass values and attributes.
- Understands and has knowledge of industry trends and direction; ability to learn and effectively utilise Client training.
- Strong communicator that can confidently speak with all levels within the business, where necessary utilising reasoning skills.
