Derbyshire County Council is seeking an Assistant Director of Strategic Commissioning, Integration & Partnerships to support our Director in delivering a transformative and financially sustainable Adult Social Care system. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of leading strategic commissioning and market management activities to ensure the availability of quality care and support services across Derbyshire.

This rewarding opportunity as part of the Senior Leadership Team, will build on our 'Good' rated CQC work, whilst also embarking on new challenges. This is more than a leadership opportunity; it's a chance to actively develop key partnerships within the wider health and social care system and beyond, ensuring integration is at the heart of everything we do. The ideal candidate will inspire and drive transformational change, leading the redesign of care services and ensuring Derbyshire's vision for Adult Social Care is achieved.

️Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a strategic commissioning strategy in collaboration with system partners, stakeholders, and Council departments.
  • Lead market shaping and remodelling activities to provide the right care and support services, achieving long-term financial sustainability.
  • Forge and maintain strategic partnerships within the health, social care, and public sectors, maximising integration opportunities.
  • Provide strategic leadership in transformational change programs, championing innovation and improved outcomes.
  • Drive cultural and organisational changes across workforce and partners to align with Derbyshire's health and wellbeing agenda.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles within adult social care or a similar setting.
  • A strong track record in commissioning, market management, and integration initiatives.
  • Exceptional people and financial management skills to drive performance and innovation.
  • Effective communicator and relationship builder, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A commitment to Derbyshire County Council's vision and values, along with a proactive, inclusive approach to leadership.
