Job Description

Derbyshire County Council, together with partner agencies in Derbyshire, is committed to supporting the resettlement of refugees across the County (excluding Derby City). The Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is comfortable with working in a dynamic and changing environment. The role will be based with the County Council's Community Safety unit and the wider Safer Derbyshire Partnership at County Hall.

Your role will be to support the Resettlement Team by providing administrative and practical support to assist in the coordination of the County's response to refugee resettlement schemes such as the UK Resettlement scheme, the Afghan Resettlement Program and the Homes for Ukraine scheme, working both internally and externally with partners. These matters can be complex and emotionally charged and require sensitive yet firm handling at a variety of levels. Good communication and organisational skills in this role will be key to delivering a successful programme of resettling refugees in the County

We are looking to recruit for a full time post, to work 37 hours per week (Mon to Fri). The post is fixed term with an end date of 31st March 2026.
