Casual Catering Assistant
Grade/Salary: Grade 3 - £12.00 to £12.65 per hour
Hours/Days: Casual - as and when required
Contract Type: Casual
Location: Dronfield Active, Civic Centre, Dronfield, S18 1PD / Eckington Active, Gosber St, Eckington, S21 4DA / Killamarsh Active, Stanley Street, Sheffield, S21 1EL

North East Derbyshire District Council is proud of providing excellent Leisure Centres to our customers and the Café facilities are a friendly, inviting and popular service within our Centres.
We are looking for a number of enthusiastic individuals to supplement our team in our Coffee & Snack Bars situated at Dronfield Active, Eckington Active and Killamarsh Active to cover holidays, sickness and provide additional cover at busy times. These positions offer flexibility and would be ideal for students or someone wishing to work additional hours or work flexibly around their personal commitments. We are keen for candidates who have weekday availability to apply.
The successful candidate will serve customers, maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene, stock control and give customers a great experience.
To be successful you will need:
- To hold the Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering Certificate (Not necessary at application stage but must be obtained prior to appointment)
- The ability to deal with a full age range of customers.
- Have a good understanding of the catering industry.
The successful candidates will be subject to a Disclosure carried out by the DBS at the Basic Level and must be willing to work at any of the council's establishments should the need arise.
