Job Description

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to provide general office support but also work closely with the Housing Needs team.

This will include, ordering goods and stationery, raising orders and paying invoices, checking housing application forms are fully completed and contain all relevant information, answering the telephone, taking messages and general office duties.

To be shortlisted for interview you must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy for maintaining and updating records, communicating and producing correspondence, including note taking.
  • Applicants must demonstrate evidence of competency in use of Microsoft Office products, telephone skills, experience of general office and note taking.
  • Also essential is the ability and experience in ordering goods and services, raising orders and paying invoices.
  • Applicants must also possess good verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Also experience of dealing with members of the public is required.
  • A flexible approach to working hours is required, also the ability to work within a team or alone using own initiative.
  • The applicant must also be diplomatic, resilient, enthusiastic and be prepared to work to targets and to set procedures within deadlines.
