Post: Principal Accountant - Housing Revenue Account

Salary/Grade: £44,193 - £48,501 Grade 9, part qualified CCAB; £49,368 - £52,076 Grade 10, fully qualified CCAB; per annum

Hours/Days: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: The Arc, High Street, Clowne, Derbyshire S43 4JY

Highly motivated individual required to join Bolsover District Council's busy Finance Team.

We are looking to fill the post of Principal Accountant - Housing Revenue Account. The successful candidate will be part of the accountancy team, playing a key role in the final accounts and budget setting process.

We are looking for:

  • a qualified or part qualified CCAB accountant with significant experience and achievement in a senior accounting role within a local authority or similar background.
  • substantial accountancy experience, including preparing final accounts and budgets of a local authority type organisation.
  • good communication skills, both orally and written, and good interpersonal skills.
  • the ability to provide high quality management information, and to analyse that information effectively .
