Our Financial Management and Strategy Team provides a centralised business partnering finance function to support our services in delivering that vision.

Faced with the financial challenges common across Local Government, the Council has an ambitious refreshed Council Plan to deliver financial sustainability and support our residents and communities to thrive.

We are seeking an experienced qualified finance professional to join the Council's Financial Accounting Team within Financial Management and Strategy.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this post will play a key role in supporting the Council's Corporate and Technical Accounting Functions including production of the Annual Financial Statements and Capital Asset Accounting.

The ideal candidate will have experience of Local Government Financial Accounting requirements, good technical knowledge and understanding, and be skilled in the use of financial systems. For further information please see the attached Job and Person Profile.

Our Financial Management and Strategy Team is contractually based in Matlock, Derbyshire, but as part of our Modern Ways of Working programme we are currently working on a hybrid basis. There'll be an opportunity to discuss future working arrangements at interview.
