Job Description

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Social Worker to join Erewash North Adult Social Care Team. This is a full-time permanent position.

As a Social Worker you will be undertaking Care Act 2014 reviews and assessments with adults in the community who are in receipt of care, utilising a strengths-based approach which considers both the adult's personal strengths and social and community networks. Focusing on maximising independence, choice and control will be central to the work you will do.

Fundamental to this post is the ability to assess and manage risk requiring you to have good working knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and the Mental Capacity Act.

You will have excellent communication skills to enable you to work effectively and in partnership with people, families, other professionals, and agencies to promote person-centred outcomes for individuals with care and support needs. The role includes visiting people at home so the ability to travel is essential.

You will have excellent IT skills, be able to adapt in a fast-changing environment, be able to organise your workload to keep up with demand, work effectively on your own, and be committed to supporting other team members when required. The team operates a duty rota which you would be part of.

The successful applicant will join a friendly and supportive team. You will be provided with a robust induction, and will have regular supervision, peer support meetings, training and workshops, and be encouraged to develop your own area of interest and expertise.

This will be a hybrid working role, working from both home and a local office.
