Job Description
After-School Assistant
Grade 1 £24,027 pro rata
15 hours per week, Term Time Only + 1 week
Permanent
Required as soon as possible
The Governors of St Oswald's CE Aided Primary & Nursery School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring after-school club assistant to our well established wraparound care provision.
The successful candidate will become part of a committed and successful team who have high expectations and demonstrate a caring attitude to all children in our care. Our children need a practitioner who will take an interest in them as individuals and who will ensure that they thrive within our environment. They need someone who will have fun with them!
The working pattern is; Monday-Friday 3pm-6pm
This post is term-time only plus inset days (39 weeks).
Term time only plus one additional weeks' pay is calculated on the basis of the following:
• Number of 'teaching' weeks - 38 weeks; plus
• Public (bank) holidays - 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus
• One additional week, inclusive of CPD - 1 week; plus
• Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days)
Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years' service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years' service will receive 32 days annual leave. For example:
Calculation for employees with less than 5 years' service:
39 weeks (term time plus 1) + 27 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 46 weeks' pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
Calculation for employees with more than 5 years' service:
39 weeks (term time plus 1) + 32 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 47 weeks' pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments
