Early Years Educator Apprentice (Nursery) Apprentice National Minimum Wage £7.55 per hour Full Time, Term Time Only Temporary - required from 28/04/2025 for 18 months plus 3 months for End Point Assessment Aclet Close Nursery School is a nurturing, friendly and welcoming school. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic and dynamic Early Years Practitioner Apprentice from April 2025 to work in our Nursery School. The successful candidate will be keen to learn more about child development and be a proactive team member; they will work closely with our very friendly and experienced team and help us to continue to build upon our existing high standards. They must have very high expectations and be willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life. The apprentice will work with 2, 3 and 4 year olds. The successful candidate will: • Provide high quality care and education • Have a 'can do' attitude and demonstrate resilience • Be able to work as part of the Aclet Close Nursery School team and use their own initiative • Communicate effectively with parents and carers • Attend training relevant to the post The school will offer: • Enthusiastic, happy and confident children • A leadership team with a determination to ensure the school continues to build on successes • Dynamic and creative staff • Supportive Governors and parents • A strong commitment to continual professional development • Essential Qualifications: To have achieved GCSE English and Maths at Grades 4-9. • Candidates with a degree or equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for an apprenticeship if their degree was in a different subject area. The working pattern is as follows: Monday, Tuesdays: 8am - 4pm with half hour lunch Wednesdays: 8am - 4pm/4.30pm with half hour lunch (fortnightly staff meeting) Thursdays: Day release at Bishop Auckland College Fridays: 8am - 3.30pm with half hour lunch Visits to our school are encouraged and warmly welcomed by prior arrangement with the Co-Head Teachers, Mrs Lisa Jenkins and Mrs Suzanne Staines. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
