Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Councils Procurement Team as a Procurement Category Specialist.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
You will manage category spend to secure quality goods, works and services contracts that deliver value for money.
You will provide professional procurement support and advice to Council's service groupings and partner organisations, and lead on the development, implementation and operation of the Councils procurement strategy, policies, systems, and processes and will work alongside a team of procurement professionals reporting directly to the Procurement Manager for FM and Digital Services.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You should be a Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and working towards achieving full MCIPS level 6 status within a mutually agreed timescale OR be Qualified to degree level or equivalent or a relevant qualification in an appropriate subject.
