Job Description
We are looking for a fulltime permanent Social Worker to join our 14 - 25 Navigation Team.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
You will be an experienced social worker who will work specifically with 14 -25 year olds with complex needs including learning and physical disabilities, autism, complex health conditions and mental health difficulties.We encourage you to contact Gemma Cairney, Team Manager on Telephone number 03000 266586 or email gemma.cairney@durham.gov.uk to arrange an informal discussion about the role.WHAT WILL I NEED?
To be successful in this role, you should be an experienced social worker able to demonstrate an awareness of current issues in relation to Community Care for young people and adults with disabilities.
You should also be able to demonstrate an awareness of the Care Act (2014), Mental Capacity Act (2005), Children Act (1989,2004), SEND and multi-agency working.
You will need a Degree in Social Work or equivalent (eg. Dip SW, CSS or CQSW) plus Social Work England registration.
