Are you passionate about transforming public transport and making a real impact on the economy? Do you have a knack for economic analysis and a desire to work on innovative projects? If so, we are looking for an experienced Economist to join our team.
We are growing our Evidence and Evaluation function to reflect the ambitious programme the North East Combined Authority (North East CA) has to transform our region. We are looking for Transport Economist to support our bus reform programme and to support drive forward our organisational ambition to be data driven and evidence-led.

As a Transport Economist, you will play a crucial role in our transformative Bus Reform project, providing expert advice and guidance on the economic case of the Franchising Scheme Assessment (FSA). You will be responsible for critically assessing economic appraisals, leading cost-benefit analyses, and interpreting detailed economic modelling to ensure the effective delivery of bus reform policy in the North East.
You will build relationships with colleagues and strategic partners and able to communicate complex data and analysis to inform our ongoing work programme, as well as providing expert advice and guidance.
