Childcare assistant - COLCHESTER

We are a warm, nurturing childcare setting, dedicated to supporting children's early development in a safe, creative, and educational environment. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team and help make a positive impact in the lives of young children.

Job Description:

As an Early Years Childcare Assistant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and educational support to children aged 0-11yrs. You will work alongside a team of experienced educators to deliver engaging activities that enhance learning, development, and emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day care and supervision of children.

• Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities.

• Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.

• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

• Assist with personal care routines (e.g., toileting, feeding, nap times).

• Observe and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to the lead educator.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the learning space.

Requirements:

• A passion for working with young children and helping them grow and learn.

• Previous experience in a childcare setting (preferable but not essential).

• A willingness to learn and undertake relevant training.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

• Level 2 or 3 in Childcare (preferable but not essential as we can put you through this), safeguarding and first aid training given.
