Job Description
Are you a Chartered Member of the CIPD or working towards professional status and an experienced HR professional seeking the next step in your career?
This Trust HR Operations Lead is a new role, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer to lead a team of two HR Business Partners and two HR Assistants who collaboratively will provide a proactive, efficient andeffective HR service to a circa of 500 staff members who service over 3,500 pupils across the Trust. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the HR People Team and the Trust are aware of and remain compliant with employment law, policies/procedures and HR best practice. They will be the lead advisor and coach to school leaders, managers and Trust Senior Leadership Team on workforce relations promoting effective communication, employee engagement and conflict resolution to support Trust strategy and foster and embed a healthy workplace culture. A strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices is essential, along with experience of safeguarding procedures and safer recruitment. Experience of working in a school would be advantageous, however, it is crucial that the candidate can evidence a strong business acumen which has added value and contributed to the success of an organisation. An ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, mentoring and communication skillsis a prerequisite along with the ability to be resilient in the face of challenges and remain calm under pressure. The successful candidate will be joining at a time of change and where they will have opportunities to streamline processes and develop, implement and embed HR projects/initiatives which will have a positive impact on the workforce, their development and growth as well as support their health and wellbeing.

The Central Finance Team, the Central ICT Team, the Central Estates Team and the Central HR Team are all based in Shoeburyness High School .
Each school has a Local Academy Committee, to which the Trust Board delegate responsibilities.
