The Opportunity:
We are seeking an industry-leading Head Chef with thevision, passion, and drive to lead The Jetty into a new era of culinaryexcellence. This is a unique and rare opportunity to take the helm of one ofthe South Coast's premier dining destinations, working closely with the GeneralManager while enjoying the autonomy to craft your own menus and leave yourdistinctive mark on the restaurant.
As Head Chef, you will be at the forefront of innovation, creating best-in-classdishes that elevate The Jetty's reputation and push the boundaries ofseafood cuisine. You'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our 2 AARosette status, setting new standards for the restaurant, and building on a 7year reputation of excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, inspire and develop a talented team ofchefs to deliver exceptional food quality and presentation.
- Design seasonal, innovative menusthat reflect The Jetty's ethos of fresh, locally sourced, and sustainableseafood.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety,hygiene, and kitchen operations, whilst complying to internal and externalpolices and laws.
- Manage kitchen budgets, including cost controland waste reduction, ensuring profitability without compromising quality.
- Foster a positive and collaborative workingenvironment, promoting training and professional development for the team,developing apprentice chefs.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager andconsultant chef to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Consistently enhance The Jetty's reputation as atrendsetting, leading dining destination..
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or ExecutiveChef in a high-quality, high-volume restaurant environment or a highlyexperienced senior sous looking for their first big role!
- A strong track record of achieving andmaintaining accolades such as AA Rosettes.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills,with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Passion for fresh, seasonal cuisine and acommitment to sustainability and local sourcing.
- Exemplary organizational and time-managementskills, with a proactive and forward-thinking approach.
- Creativity and innovation to drive menudevelopment and elevate the dining experience.
- A solid understanding of kitchen financials,including budgeting and cost control.
