We are recruiting for a Management Accountant with excellent customer care skills to join our team at The Harley Street Campus. In this role you will assist the Finance Manager and hospital Chief Finance Officer in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of management accounts at the month end.

What you'll do:

  • Obtaining information from Heads of Department and CFO as required.
  • Review of results to ensure that variances are understood and misstatements are corrected.
  • Identify any other adjustments to the accounts as are required to provide a proper financial record of the hospital's activities.
  • To improve the month end process at the hospital on a continuing basis and to share ideas for improvements with the other hospital accountants.
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Investigating on-going accruals and irregularities.
  • Participate in DFRs as agreed with the Finance Manager and hospital Chief Finance Officer
  • Assist with the monthly Hospital and Corporate Reporting Packs.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Monthly Operating Review
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget.

What you'll bring:

  • Member of one of the following bodies and actively studying towards: ICA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Detailed knowledge of Management accounting terminology and concepts
  • Detailed knowledge of groups accounting/finance systems (knowledge of Meditech would be beneficial).
  • Computer literate including an excellent knowledge of Excel.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • ACCA)
  • Experience of preparation of management accounts and support to cost and profit centre managers
  • Experience in a similar organization / industry preferably
