An exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to play a key role at our Ivy Cottage (10 bed) and Ivy Croft (4 bed) services on the same site in North Featherstone, providing tailored support and fostering a warm and inclusive atmosphere for the people we support. Our services support adults with a learning disability and associated challenges to live the best lives possible. Does this sound like the role for you?
Place of work
This is a Registered Residential Service for 14 individuals with Learning Disabilities in the heart of the community, spread across 2 buildings. You will be responsible for them all with support from your Registered Manager . The people in our care are at the centre of everything that we do and the ideal candidate will understand that maintaining a supportive and homely environment is key to succeeding in their role.
Your Role & You
You will be a frontline hands on Assistant Manager who will support the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the service. You will be able to work with all team members and understand that they are all individual and require support from you in their own unique way, just as one of our residents would. You will know how to get the best out of people and enjoy seeing your team empowered and seeing them progress too.
Who we are looking for
- Someone with a strong background within Adult Learning Disabilities Services is essential.
- Willing to work towards an NVQ 5
- An ability to problem-solve creatively and swiftly
- Passion for creating positive outcomes for the people we are support & seeing them thrive.
- Be a driver with your own vehicle as this position includes on call duties.
- Take support, guidance & direction easily from the Senior Management team.
- Always be looking for where you can improve or push yourself
