We are currently recruiting... Occupational Therapist, with empathy and the drive to make a difference, finding creative ways to support people to achieve what they want to and live as independently as possible in a place they call their home. We need a permanent, full time, Occupational Therapist to work across Lancashire as part of our Adult Services Short Term Support Service located in West Lancashire .
Role: Permanent, Full-Time Occupational TherapistLocation: West Lancashire (Skelmersdale)Schedule: 7-day contract, covering 1 in every 4 weekends and bank holidays on a rota basisLiving Better Lives in Lancashire This is a hugely exciting time for us. We're driving forward innovative practice that will make a difference to our communities and we need Occupational Therapists to help us achieve our vision of supporting people to achieve what they want to, living independently in a place they call their home. Working collaboratively with social work colleagues and care providers, plus NHS and other partners you will develop and coach a reenabling approach and/or longer-term compensatory adaptations for people leaving hospital or avoiding admission.
You are resilient, empathetic, and show compassion. You work together with people to plan and help them achieve their goals. A critical thinker, you will gather information and manage risks. You will carry out high quality holistic face-to-face Occupational Therapy assessments, aiming to maximise people's function and quality of life. This includes setting and reviewing therapeutic goals and supporting to create person centred robust proportionate support plans.
