We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to become part of the team at Lowerhouse Junior School. The Governors of Lowerhouse Junior School are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor & Teaching Assistant and applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for this post. The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, to:

Support access to learning for pupils

Provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom

Provide small group interventions in maths, reading and writing

Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area, alongside a teacher/senior member of staff. As a learning mentor, you will be responsible for supporting a number of individual pupils with physical, social, emotional and mental health needs away from the main school site.
