The Governors wish to appoint a Welfare Assistant to join our happy school and make an outstanding contribution to our team.
This post is temporary in the first instance and is subject to a probationary period. The hours are 4 a week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 12.00pm to 1.00 pm, term time only.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, flexible, responsible and caring with a desire to make the pupils lunchtime a happy, safe and fun time. The main duties of the post are to supervise children in the hall eating their lunch and clearing up spillages; supervise children outside in the playground; initiate/suggest/support structured play activities and be responsible for the tidy and safe storage of equipment. During wet lunchtimes, you will supervise the children in their classrooms. You may also need to deal with accidents in the playground or dining area (following procedures for Health & Safety & First Aid).
