Summary
Moss Side Primary School wishes to appoint two passionate teachers to support the progress, attainment and development of our pupils. Following recent retirements, this is an exciting time of change within our teaching staff and the probability would be that these new teachers would be added to both Infant and Junior departments for the start of 25/26. There are two contracts currently advertised: 1 x permanent and 1 x temporary for one year, due to future funding.
The posts would be suitable for a wide range of candidates on main pay scales, from ECTs through to experienced teachers. The role of the postholder will be to deliver high standards of teaching, developing exciting, innovative and effective lessons for pupils, which focus on their next steps of development. All staff are also expected to foster the positive behaviour and attitudes of all pupils. In addition, the successful candidate would be required to embrace our school ethos of developing considerate, well-rounded human beings, as well as endeavouring to ensure that all children achieve their potential across a range of areas, not simply academic. We are excited about the prospect of adding new teachers to our welcoming, enthusiastic team, who are always open to new ideas. In return, they would be well supported by the experienced colleagues already employed by the school.
The School
Moss Side Primary School has an excellent reputation in the area and is consistently oversubscribed. We serve the Moss Side area of Leyland, where our catchment caters to a diverse range of pupils, contributing to a dynamic school community. We pride ourselves on our close working relationship with our parents, who we invite into school on a regular basis and communicate with via our open door approach.
Academically we maintain a high standard, but this does not mean that our emphasis is on academic success to the exclusion of all else. We believe that school should be a happy, exciting place and, to support this, have developed a carefully crafted series of opportunities to support the personal development of our pupils. Great importance is placed on our class assemblies and whole school productions, as well as charity events and special weeks. We also have a wide programme of enrichment activities, to support the wider curriculum and use staff skills to give pupils sporting, dramatic, musical and artistic opportunities amongst other things.
