SCIENCE at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College

The College is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, high performing and enthusiastic individual to the full-time post of Teacher of Applied Science who can offer Chemistry and/or Physics and who will lead and inspire students. This is a post to join a team of professionals in a growing subject area.

The Applied Science Level 3 and Science departments at Notre Dame are each extremely high performing with a track record of achieving Outstanding ALPs value added for over six years. The department is multi-disciplinary and progressive, working together to design and deliver innovative and forward-looking approaches to teaching and learning. The Applied Science department offers Level 3 Extended Diploma, L3 Extended Certificate Science and will shortly be introducing an AAQ in Science and are also exploring an AAQ in Medical Science.

All the Science departments are lively, dynamic, and progressive in terms of their approach with a strong emphasis on encouraging a positive rapport between staff and students in the pursuit of academic success. There is a friendly and professional atmosphere within all the Science departments and a wealth of experience with a strong encouragement to undertake CPD. This is an exciting time to join the Applied Science department and an opportunity to help build upon the outstanding resources initiated by the team. Ideally applicants should have a track record of outstanding success teaching across each of the science disciplines of Chemistry and/or Physics.
