About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our thriving hospitality and catering team at Beaumanor Hall, a Victorian country house which is located in an idyllic countryside setting in Woodhouse, Leicestershire. A stunning backdrop for conferences, events and weddings.
The successful candidate would work as part of the Beaumanor hospitality team undertaking a variety of duties including setting up function rooms and conferencing facilities for events, liaising with guests and resolving queries, serving food and beverages according to the event schedules, and supporting the Beaumanor management team to provide a consistent high quality service. An ability to work well as part of a team is essential, as well as having the ability to prioritise tasks. Previous experience working in the hospitality industry would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be offered. We offer variable shift patterns including mid-week, weekends and evenings.
- Greet customers and escort to tables
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g ingredients or potential food allergies)
- To offer menu recommendations on request & upsell additional products when appropriate
- Communicate order details to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and drink orders.
- Prepare tables by setting up linen, silverware and glassware
- To perform other related duties as required ensuring the dining area and the kitchen is clean and in hygienic condition and that the food service is effective and efficient.
- To load & empty dishwasher putting crockery away correctly.
- To polish cutlery/glassware to the required standards
- To undergo on and off the job training sessions as required
- Cash handling
- Ensuring all areas are left in a clean & hygienic manner at the end of shift.
