About the Role
We are looking for two commissioning officers for adult social care and integrated commissioning to help us to deliver our Adults and Communities Strategy. The successful candidate will work alongside the Adults and Communities Lead Commissioners and colleagues from the Care Pathway, Transformation, Quality and Contracts, Finance and Business intelligence to deliver high quality social care services which are cost-effective and able to meet the needs of people across Leicestershire.
- Vacancy 1 - this is a permanent post, which has the opportunity for involvement in a range of areas of adult social care commissioning, which may include home care and mental health services for Leicestershire, as well as aspects of carer development work. This will include engagement and co-production with relevant stakeholders, analysis of complex data, report writing, qualitative research and drawing conclusions from the evidence gathered.
- Vacancy 2 - this is a 12 month fixed term post, focussed on Supported Living. It will entail analysis of our operational commissioning processes and research into the use of alternative pricing tools. There will also be development work to consider the broader use of a brokerage in accommodation based commissioning.
About You
- A relevant degree or professional qualification or an equivalent level of relevant experience
- Experience of social care, commissioning and service development
- Developed innovative approaches in your work
- Experience of engaging with adult social care providers
- Aware of key issues facing local authorities and provider markets, as well as knowledge of the Care Act
- Organised and a good time manager
- A good communicator, partnership worker, and able to be flexible to meet changing demands
