Full time, 35 hours per week - Days

Seven Rivers is a nursing home and located in a rural location with limited public transport, it is home to 29 adults with physical disabilities.

Mainly consisting of working during the week but may require occasional weekends, a pay enhancement would be paid. You will be required to drive our minibus in order to collect any maintenance equipment and therefore if required, you may need training on our vehicles.

  • Because of the DVLA driving restrictions to drive a minibus, an occupational requirement applies to this post, under the Equality Act 2010.
  • You must be over the age of 21 and have held a driving license for 2 years or more.

About the role

As our Maintenance Coordinator you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient maintenance of the service and surrounding areas.

You will have responsibility for designated ancillary staff and will make sure that the safety of the service and all equipment is effectively maintained through regular checks and servicing. Decorating, fixing, replacing, clearing – there is always something to be done to keep the premises looking great!

You will also oversee vehicle safety and effectively coordinate repairs undertaken by outside contractors.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have previous, relevant experience in an appropriate skill (e.g. plumbing or carpentry) or in a similar role.
  • Understand the principles of workplace safety.
  • Be able to perform physical tasks required by the job.
  • Have previous supervisory experience.
  • Have a Level 3 or 4 qualification in an appropriate skill (desirable).
  • Have a driving licence (where required).
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
