As a Partner in the Ashford Agency, you'll be part of a 45-strong team dedicated to growing one of NFU Mutual's largest agency in the UK. The forecasts for this insurance business are extremely healthy, and you'll be at the forefront of helping to grow the agency's turnover by 12-14%.
You'll forge new commercial alliances within this ever-growing sector in the southeast. This is a self-employed growth opportunity with absolute commercial focus and the support of one of the UK's largest insurers.
Your experience and commercial flair
Alongside the existing partners in this multi-site insurance agency - Ashford, Tenterton and Whitfield - you'll be part of the agency leadership team. Combining your experience in the agricultural sector and your leadership skills, you'll create bespoke insurance solutions that meet the needs of the fast-paced agricultural world. You'll be a catalyst to grow this insurance business at pace.
The diversification and modernisation of agriculture in the southeast is your opportunity to thrive in this incredible sector. You'll achieve this by using your strong track record as a business leader and direct experience of managing large, high-profile accounts to drive results and innovate your team. You'll use your people skills to build strong and lasting relationships with an ever-growing portfolio of large agricultural businesses. You'll also drive business growth beyond farming, tapping into local hotspots of High Net Worth and Small Medium Enterprises across a range of sectors. With the support of NFU Mutual and a strong and loyal customer base, this self-employed opportunity gives you the independence to put big expansion plans in place, whilst ensuring sustainable growth.
NFU Group Secretary
One of the other aspects of this opportunity is being appointed an NFU Senior Group Secretary. You'll be the voice of the Union, bringing the agriculture community together and sharing best-practice and policy updates. With full backing from the NFU, you'll have access to expert advice and specialist support on everything from policy and increasing membership numbers to marketing and media. In this role you're supporting the needs of over 400 active members across 3 sites, helping to grow the membership and opening doors to future business opportunities for your agency.
