You'll be joining forces with two experienced partners, and supported by a highly effective team of staff, making this a thriving agency. Thanks to successive years of double-digit growth, ambitions are high with further growth potential on the horizon.
As a partner in the NFU Mutual Strabane agency, you'll be key in helping to drive the agency's future growth. From winning new business to advising and retaining existing accounts, your contribution towards expanding an already significant personal and commercial lines insurance business will be pivotal. This is a self-employed growth opportunity with absolute customer focus at its heart.
About You
You're an engaging communicator, a confident networker who can develop long-standing professional relationships with a range of contacts, from farmers to Finance Directors. An inherent drive to succeed and strong business acumen means you're able to spot, develop and secure a healthy pipeline of new business.
Collaborative, positive and supportive, you know how to get the best out of people, inspiring them towards ambitious growth targets whilst ensuring all relevant regulations and standards of compliance are met.
A connection to farming and agriculture is more important than the industry sector you've worked in. It will serve you well with the agency's core client-base whilst enhancing your credibility in the role of Assistant Group Manager for the Ulster Farmers' Union (UFU).
UFU Assistant Group Manager
In addition to your main role as a self-employed Partner in the NFU Mutual Strabane agency, you will be employed by the UFU as an Assistant Group Manager. This places you at the heart of your local farming community. You'll champion interests of local farmers, arrange local meetings and events, recruit and retain members and keep them up to date on agricultural policy. With full backing from the UFU, you'll have access to expert advice and specialist support on everything from policy and increasing membership to marketing and media.
Combining your duties as a local UFU Assistant Group Manager with your responsibilities for running an NFU Mutual insurance agency gives you the chance to make the most of both opportunities, as the roles are intrinsically linked.
