Senior Development Underwriter
About the role
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial underwriting professional to join NFU Mutual and be a technical lead for a competent and engaged team of Development Underwriters responsible for supporting the NFU Mutual Agency Network with the acquisition of mid-market commercial new business and gross direct premium income across a variety of classes of business and sectors.
You'll support the team in managing the new business pipeline and caseload whilst working collaboratively with and challenging both Sales and NFU Mutual Agents on the delivery of prospects where appropriate.
Homebased covering either the Midlands and South of the country, you will spend on average 2-3 days per week out on the road, and so it is important that you are comfortable with travel. This will include spending time with the team, visiting NFU Mutual Agents/clients and Sales teams as well as visits to Head Office and the Regional Service Centres.
