Step Together is a trailblazing service that offers a psychological, adversity and trauma (PAT) informed approach to those rough sleeping/at risk of homelessness with multiple, complex needs (mental health, forensic history, substance use) in Somerset. We advocate for system change, creatively thinking with other agencies to develop innovative ways to overcome barriers to engagement, turning these into opportunities to steer positive trauma-informed system change.
Main duties of the job
The roles primary focus is to provide high quality comprehensive administration and facilities coordination, ensuring that the operational team has the administration support to deliver services smoothly and effectively. This includes the overall management of any office and hub space across Somerset, overseeing health and safety and maintaining policies and procedures. Your role will include elements of project support and organising events and/or external partnership meetings. You will work closely with the management team to support the smooth running of day-to-day activities of the service, reporting and monitoring, and coordinating and minuting team and system meetings, and .

Job responsibilities
Provide confidential and comprehensive administrative support to the Service & Transformation Manager and wider team including diary management, meetings, file management, project management and the production of high quality letters, documents and presentations Carry out relevant office management duties including ordering stationery and furniture, coordinating health and safety, security and office-related contracts, including leases, cleaning, car parking and security Coordinating buildings repairs and maintenance Organisation and management of office moves and re-organisations Planning and organising internal events and meetings including acting as a focal point of contact for queries
Person Specification
Experience
Essential
- Proven experience of working in administration and business support
- Proven experience of organising meetings and events including training
- Ability to engage with others to develop effective relationships
- Experience of research and project work
- Experience of producing reports and presentations
- Experience of managing an office
Desirable
- Experience of working in the voluntary sector
- Experience of managing/supporting teams in multiple locations
