Job summary
We are delighted to be able to recruit a Biomedical Support Worker to work within the Clinical Microbiology department at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Advanced Biomedical Support Worker with good interpersonal skills and a high degree of self-motivation to join the team.
The department provides a comprehensive diagnostic bacteriology, mycology, serology/virology and molecular microbiology service . Working as an integral part of the laboratory team you will process clinical specimens for microbiological testing, helping to deliver a high level of service quality, both to the Trust and the community.
To be the successful the candidate, as well as being friendly and reliable, you will need a flexible attitude towards work with strong IT, communication and organisational skills, and an acute attention to detail. You will rotate throughout the Microbiology department, and require the ability to work under pressure and well within a team.

For more detail about this varied and rewarding role, please see the attached job description. As a key member of the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
The successful applicant will be expected to work a 37.5 full time contract working between 09:00 and 17:30 or 12:00 and 20:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00-17:00 Saturday/Sunday on a rostered shift pattern. In addition there is also the requirement to work public holidays where this may coincide with a rostered shift pattern.
