We have an exciting opportunity for a Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Onley, a category C Prison located in Rugby.

Hours

Working 16 hours per week, working two days per week Tuesday and Thursdays (negotiable) 09:00-17:00

Salary

This position is part time, youll receive an annual salary up to £64,471 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Advanced Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary.

  • As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with independent prescribing, you'll deliver face-to-face services, enabling patients to obtain health information from the appropriate health care professional. You will be providing safe and effective health assessments and treatment of patients within the establishment.
  • You'll be accountable for your practice including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge or referral of patients, independent of medical intervention.
  • Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team in providing quality, evidence-based health care to meet the immediate needs of the patient, you'll take an active role within the cross-disciplinary, multi-skilled team to ensure service quality in line with corporate goals and strategy; to assist in the implementation of the wellbeing approach which has a positive impact on the health economy.

Qualifications required
  • Registered professional with current registration (NMC)
  • Recognised prescribing qualification
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
  • Masters in Advanced Practice or equivalent
  • Ability to work within a busy environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
