Job summary
The post holder supports primarily the AnaestheticsDepartment.Working as part of the Anaesthetics Support and Administration team, the post holder will support the provision of a comprehensive, proactive,effectiveand efficient administrative function to all members of the Anaesthetics Department and the department's stakeholders. This requires the post holder to be adaptable to changing demands, have effective interpersonal, communication and data management skills.
Activities include cross-cover ofMaternity Outpatientsclinic management (managing bookings and liaising with theObstetrics Anaestheticsteam),uploadingand updatingmedicalrotas,taking meeting minutes and general administration duties that supports theAnaestheticsdepartmentto meet clinical and operational priorities.
The service workload complexity and intensity has increased in recent years, and it is imperative that the post holder is able to adapt to the changing demands.

The successful candidate will assist the Anaesthetics Support Team Leader as part of the Anaesthetics Administration team to optimise administrative functions thereby contributing to the performance and care delivery of the Anaesthetics department.
You will also demonstrate positive attitude, resilience and possess strong written, software systems such as EPR and communication skills including minutes taking and proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite.

Education and Qualifications
Essential
- Good standard of Education with a minimum of 5 'C' grade GCSE's(incl. English Language and Maths)
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent NHS administrative experience
- Competence in use of and development of differentcomputer software packagesincluding Microsoft 365
Desirable
- Microsoft 365 Suite Qualification
Experience and Skills
Essential
- Proven experience within an administrative role
- Experience of working with the general public
- Evidence of a positive approach to working in complex environments
- Experience of setting and maintaining work standards
- Methodical, conscientious & reliable
- Experience of managing complex staff rotas.
- Experience of managing IT systems and processes.
Desirable
- Previous NHS experience
- EPR Trained
