We are looking for a strong and motivated Anaesthetic Nurse or ODP to join perioperative team as a Theatre Practitioner.
This role is for 37.5 Hours per week, working 07:45 - 17:45 for 4 days between Monday and Saturday. Saturdays will be on average 1 per month.

Main duties of the job
As an Anaesthetic Practitioner you will:
- Support and assess patients prior to the surgery.
- Support the anaesthetist and prepare any specialist equipment.
- Communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team including Scrub, Anaesthetics, and Recovery Practitioners.
- Communicate effectively with other departments including Sterile Services, Wards, and Imaging to ensure effective and smooth-running patient care.
- Maintain and enhance your own professional development.

Qualifications
Essential
- Be a qualified and registered Practitioner (RN or ODP).
Experience
Essential
- Have post registration experience working as an Anaesthetic Practitioner.
- Be patient orientated with a focus on continuous service improvement.
- Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
Desirable
- Experience working as a Scrub Practitioner.
- Experience of planning, co-ordinating and running the daily workload in a theatre suite, including the supervision of staff.
