Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for Assistant Delivery Manager - Project Manager to join the IT Clinical Systems Directorate to be responsible for tracking and coordinating the design, development and rollout of integrated and specialist digital solutions.
This is an opportunity to lead the project delivery for the Epic/Digital transition of a specialist Children's Cancer service into the Apollo Epic and related digital solutions that are in place across multiple sites, supporting more than 50,000 staff, at GSTT, KCH and partner organisations.
Main duties of the job
These technical project management roles will focus on the project delivery of new digital workflows and functionality, to launch the Evelina's Principle Treatment Centre. The project delivery will cover a range of projects including: Networks/Integration/Interface technical delivery, Diagnostics workflows including MDI integration/rollout, Epic Clinical Workflows, Epic Admin workflows, Informatics/Data and Reporting, Data Migration, Operational/Training and readiness delivery.
We are seeking those who have a strong aptitude for project delivery of digital systems and related technical solutions. Key experience includes:
- Experience leading complex technical working groups with wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop implementable technical solutions, generating trackable deliverables
- Expertise to coordinate and support workshops, deep-dive technical planning sessions with senior stakeholders including clinicians, operational, technical leads and third-party suppliers
- Exceptional customer service approach and attention to detail including ensuring clear decision log, transparent options appraisal and selection of technical solutions

About us
Equally as important to these skills will be your understanding of clinical digital workflow and processes required for complex cross-organisational services, particularly cancer services, childrens services, pharmacy operational and clinical workflows. You must be able to juggle multiple, sometimes conflicting deadlines and maintain strong working relationships across the wider end user community as well as others within the programme team.
Experience in technical project management and/or change management methodologies and techniques is essential.
These roles will require Cross-site working, based at Waterloo Education Centre (3 days on site minimum, 2 days WFH) with 2-4 days per month at partner organisation sites (e.g. Royal Marsden, GOSH, UCLH and St George's).

- Educated to Masters degree level or equivalent qualification with equivalent relevant technical knowledge, skills and experience
- PRINCE2 Practitioner qualified - or qualification in similar structured project management methodologies
- Evidence of continuous professional development

- APMP qualification
Experience
Essential
- Extensive practical experience in project management work and in planning and performance reporting across a complex environment
- Experience of managing and co-ordinating a range of technical projects, including financial management, resource management, work allocation and management of 3rd party supplies in a complex organisation
- Used to working in a PRINCE2 environment
Desirable
- Previous experience in the NHS, preferably a large Acute, Primary Care or Mental Health Setting
