Associate Director of Corporate Medical Services B8d - 1 x 37.5 hour post available.
The post holder will be a highly motivated and effective manager with exceptional leadership and influencing skills. The post holder will have the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve teams to work towards and achieve the objectives as set out by the Executive Medical Director and the Trust Board.
The individual will work closely with the Executive Medical Director (EMD), and members of the Medical Directorate and Medical Education teams to deliver a range of key outcomes.
The role is instrumental in leading and maintaining a medical leadership structure that is cohesive with the integrated model of service delivery in the North Cumbria system.

Main duties of the job
- Provide clear leadership to staff, ensuring that operational excellence is delivered and standardised and build a culture of empowerment and engagement with staff and clinical teams
- Lead, prioritise, plan and organise a broad range of highly complex services and activities.
- Ensure that the EMD and the senior team are able to track and deliver all relevant corporate objectives, and are able to provide objective assurance to internal and external committees.
- Provide high quality written reports, including highly complex information and content, for dissemination across the organisation including the Executive Team, Trust Board, as well as external organisations.
- Present, where appropriate, regular papers for the Trust Board, sub-board level committee and Executive Committee
- Represent the EMD at meetings as appropriate.
- Represent, and act as an ambassador for the Trust at regional and national networking and other events as appropriate.
- Act as a role model at all times, demonstrating and promoting the Trust's values and expected behaviours.
- Develop and review key internal control mechanisms on behalf of the EMD, working with the Directorate leadership team
- Make recommendations for effective deployment of resources to achieve change outcomes.
- Respond to the frequent requirement to adjust plans and strategies in response to changing priorities.

Please note the cost of the DBS check is increasing from 2nd December and the new cost will be
Standard DBS check £21.50, Enhanced DBS check £49.50 + any admin costs.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:
Standard Check: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
Enhanced Check: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
