Base - Selby

We are looking predominantly for service people who can deliver a "Make Their Day" service on a daily basis. The Caf at Selby is fast paced and very busy during lunch times service , mainly serving hospital staff and visitors and we require someone with lots of drive and energy, with a "can do" attitude.The Caf opens from 8am-3pm, Monday to Friday and shift patterns could be any time within the opening hours.

Every day is different and tasks include working on the tills, serving on hot counters, working in pot wash or wiping tables and sweeping floors. Exciting times also lay ahead as their are plans to introduce new food concepts, such as Subways styled deli and pizza.

Main duties of the job

Duties are, but not limited to:

  • Working on the tills and cash handling
  • Serving on hot counters
  • Making fresh pizzas
  • Sandwich artist working on the deli counter
  • Wiping tables and sweeping floor
  • Working in pot wash
  • Helping out working in the wards serving food to patients
  • Assisting in the kitchen when required

Person Specification

Education, Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Good basic education which includes reading and writing plus basic numeric skills.

Desirable

  • BICSc Qualification/NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning/Catering or equivalent

Experience and Knowledge Required

Essential

  • One year work experience in a catering customer front service role.
  • Food service experience

Desirable

  • Barista
  • Sandwich artist
  • Food preparation
