Brain Injury Support Worker (Flexible hours)

Job responsibilities

We have an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Female Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team in Sandbach,Cheshire.

The successful applicant will need to have experience within complex care as well as hold a full UK drivers license and be happy driving a WAV. Alongside the day to day support our client will require, the support worker will be working with Occupational Therapists and SALT.

As our client does have a family we are looking for a support worker who enjoys working with the whole family and be an integral part of their lives.

Pay Rate: £15.14 - £17.30

Working Hours:

This will start with adhoc shifts with a view to increase to regular shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engaging with personalised routines.
• Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
• Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
• Providing emotional support and companionship.
• Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions.
• Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
• To be able to deal with challenging behaviours.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work the specified hours.

Training & Background Checks: An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.

Essential

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care, ability to deal with challenging behaviours, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and flexibility to work the specified hours.
