An exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced administration team leader has become available at Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) on a 12 Month secondment.

The Business Support Team leader will be a key member of a centralised Business Support Team and will coordinate and delegate work to the team to enable a comprehensive administration support function for a range of programmes of work lead by senior members of the Pharmacy Deanery.

They will be responsible for ensuring the effective operational delivery of the CPD programme, National Enhanced Clinical Services Training, Commissioned programmes, and post registration offerings by the HEIW Pharmacy Deanery and will be required to make autonomous decisions regarding the day-to-day operational activities associated with these programmes of work, to ensure effective delivery.

This post is being offered as a secondment opportunity only. If you wish to apply, you must have your line manager's approval before making an application. This post is for a fixed secondment period but may be extended or made permanent at the end of the secondment period depending on available funding and business requirement.

Main duties of the job

As a Business Support Team leader, you will be a key member of a centralised Business Support Team and will coordinate and delegate to the team to enable a comprehensive administration support function, including

  • Planning, organisation, and setup of virtual and face to face training events and associated administrative tasks
  • Setup of e-learning packages and end user guidance documentation
  • Provision of technical support to end users of the E Learning platform

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

This post is secondment for 12 months to meet the needs of the service.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential

  • Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
  • Experience of a full range of duties working in an administrative / office environment
  • Knowledge of data protection requirements

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience of working in an office role including event management experience (includes online resources)
  • Familiar and competent with Microsoft IT packages, especially Work, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience as a Team Leader / Supervising staff
  • Experience of providing high levels of customer service and support
  • Experience of entering and maintaining accurate data systems and analysing data
  • Experience of monitoring budgets

Desirable

  • Experience administering an eLearning platform and providing online system support
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
