Job summary
Outpatient Network are recruiting for Cardiac Physiologists with a minimum of 1 year post accreditation to help support in our weekday insourcing clinics in an NHS trust South East of London.
Main duties of the job
Patient Preparation: Ensuring patients are informed about the procedure and comfortable before the echocardiogram.
Echocardiogram Execution: Conducting high-quality echocardiograms using ultrasound equipment, capturing images of the hearts chambers, valves, and blood flow.
Data Analysis: Analyzing echocardiographic data to identify any abnormalities or areas of concern.
Report Generation: Compiling and documenting findings in detailed reports for review by cardiologists.
Collaboration: Working closely with medical teams to discuss results and contribute to patient care plans. Ensuring that echocardiography equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and providing high-quality cardiac assessments to support patient care. This role requires expertise in cardiac imaging, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Echocardiograms: Perform transthoracic and, if applicable, ensuring high-quality images and accurate measurements.
Patient Interaction: Prepare patients for echocardiography procedures by explaining the process, addressing concerns, and ensuring their comfort.
Data Analysis: Analyze echocardiographic data, identify abnormalities, and provide preliminary assessments for review by cardiologists.
Report Documentation: Generate comprehensive reports of echocardiogram findings, detailing the structure and function of the heart.
Collaboration: Work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss results and contribute to patient management plans.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all echocardiography equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning optimally.

- Applicants must have current BSE accreditation with a minimum of 1 years post accreditation work in the field.
